Dr Alexis holds an exceptionally rare dual UK and US board-certification as a consultant dermatologist, with nearly 20 years of experience in her field. Compassion, meticulous attention to detail, carefully honed clinical expertise and a seamless patient journey are the deep-rooted foundations on which Dr Alexis’s thriving practice in medical and aesthetic dermatology has been built. Her services are so in demand that her list is now closed to new patients. Over the past decade, Dr Alexis has served as an ambassador and key opinion leader for a number of powerhouse brands across beauty and aesthetics. Dr Alexis has recently been appointed to the British Beauty Council advisory board, and is a member of British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). She is regularly quoted in both print and digital media and has been a featured guest on a variety of podcasts and broadcast television.

PRODUCT

All Joonbyrd products are vegan. We do not use animal-derived ingredients such as beeswax, honey or lanolin in any of our formulations.

We side with kindness, always. Joonbyrd products are never tested on animals.

Unless otherwise specified, Joonbyrd products have an unopened shelf-life of 36 months post manufacture. Once opened, the period for optimal freshness and efficacy is indicated by the open lid jar symbol on each product (the period after opening, or PAO). For example, a PAO of 12M means the product is best used within 12 months after opening.

Thoughtful, science-backed formulation is at the heart of everything we do at Joonbyrd and we are committed to including only the safest, premium ingredients in all of our products. As a brand, we have consciously chosen not to use the word ‘clean.' With no regulation around the term within the beauty industry, we find it often creates confusion and unnecessary concern. Before any product reaches the market it must undergo a detailed safety assessment and toxicological review conducted by an independent, qualified agency. Our products are also dermatologically tested, user and/or clinical trial tested and are sulfate, paraben, phthalate and microplastic free.

Joonbyrd products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. For further medical advice and more specific guidance, we recommend speaking with your doctor directly.

We are very disappointed to hear that you've had a reaction to one of our products. All Joonbyrd formulas have been independently dermatologically tested, and deemed non-irritating, so it is likely that you have an allergy or sensitivity to one or more of the ingredients. Firstly, we recommend that you stop all product use, and contact your doctor or dermatologist to investigate. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Standard delivery (EVRI): £2.95 or free on orders of £100 or more. Next day delivery (DPD): £7 (next day delivery is only available in England and Wales).

Standard delivery via EVRI: within 3 working days (if ordered before 3 pm Monday - Friday).

Next day delivery via DPD: within 1 working day (if ordered before 3 pm Monday-Thursday).

You will receive an email once your order has been shipped with the details of your EVRI or DPD delivery including a tracking number for your parcel. You can also track your order within the Joonbyrd 'My Account' section. Log in here.

Our next day delivery service is available Monday - Friday for all orders placed before 3 pm. If your order was placed outside of this window it will be processed on the next working day. There may occasionally be additional external factors affecting your delivery time. RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We hope your Joonbyrd products bring you as much joy as they bring us! However, if for any reason you change your mind, you can return your products within 28 days of receipt, free of charge. Please note that for hygiene reasons we can only accept unopened and unused items in their original packaging for returns, and in the same condition that you received them, unless faulty. We cannot accept partial returns for items that were purchased as part of a set or bundle. We can only accept returns on orders placed directly on joonbyrd.com. Please note that Gift Cards and Lucky Charms are final sale.

To initiate the free returns process, please reach out to The Joy Hub team at customercare@joonbyrd.com. Please make sure to include your name and order number. Once received and inspected, we will issue a full refund (minus initial shipping costs) to your original form of payment within 3 business days. Please note that depending on your financial institution, your credit may take a further 7-10 business days to appear on your bank statement.

Recyclability

All Joonbyrd products are labeled with specific recycling instructions. Recycling may vary by region. All cartons and leaflets can be placed in paper recycling. For plastic and glass where applicable, simply rinse out your container and place it in the designated recycling. Any plastic outer packaging is designed to be reused for carrying or storing small items. Our empty jars can be repurposed to store just about anything, your Joonbyrd charms, loose change, extra buttons, sea glass, whatever brings you joy! For items that are not easily recyclable by local, traditional waste collection, Joonbyrd offers TerraCycle Zero Waste Bags. You can find more information about TerraCycle Zero Waste Bags here.

We aim to use refillable packaging wherever possible. Refills are available for all bottle and jar products (MOON SWIM Body Wash, LITTLE LOVE Body Lotion, VIOLET HAZE Body Scrub, SUNDAY SOFA Body Butter).

Joonbyrd retails the TerraCycle Zero Waste Bag for items that are difficult to recycle via traditional, local waste collection. These typically include certain types of plastic, lotion pumps, brushes and tools and mixed materials.

How It Works:

  1. Add a TerraCycle Zero Waste Bag to your next order.
  2. Tick "Beauty Products and Packaging" on the outside of your Zero Waste Bag. Fill the bag with any beauty empties that are not refillable or recyclable via standard collection (check specific product information for details). Empties can be a mix of Joonbyrd and other beauty brand packaging components, so we can help take care of all your hard-to-recycle beauty goodies! A small TerraCycle Zero Waste Bag will fit up to 21 items.
  3. Once your bag is full, create a TerraCycle account at https://zerowastebag.co.uk/account/login
  4. For label-less return shipping, request a QR code in your newly created account. This ensures there are no hidden or additional costs to ship your bag back to TerraCycle.
  5. Drop your Zero Waste Bag at one of over 5000 local InPost shops or lockers. Find your nearest InPost locker at https://inpost.co.uk/lockers.
  6. TerraCycle will receive the Zero Waste Bag and recycle your waste into new, reusable raw materials. It's that simple!
